ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCESS WITH FREE REGISTRATION OPTION
- Abstracts must be submitted through the online Submission form published on the Symposium website by Wednesday November 15th 2024. Abstracts submitted after the Submission deadline will not be considered.
- The submitting author must be either pre-doctoral students, recent post-doctoral researcher or clinical residents. All the notifications related to the abstract Submission will be send to the email address included during the Submission (contact person email).
- If you have successfully submitted your abstract, you will receive a confirmation number and an acknowledgement of receipt by email. Please contact the Scientific Secretariat if you did not receive the acknowledgement of receipt by email after the submission (

- Abstract Submission deadline: Wednesday November 6th, 2024, at 23:59h (GTM+1). Extended to: Friday November 15th at 23:59g (GTM + 1).
- Authors will be able to modify their submissions until the Submission deadline using the online Submission form, which will be open until that date to access to the previously submitted abstracts using the contact person email and the Password received after the Submission, in the acknowledgement of receipt.
- If your abstract is finally accepted the author stated as presenting author will need to register by November 22nd, 2024, to confirm participation in the Symposium to include the corresponding presentation in the Programme.
- A free registration option will be available to 30 successfully submitted and accepted abstracts from pre-doctoral students or clinical residents that are current SEI members. Registration fees (150 €) are waived for all authors that present their work onsite at the symposium on Thursday December 19th.
GUIDELINES
- Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- The abstract number of Words is limited strictly to 300 words maximum, excluding the title the authors and the affiliations, which need to be included in the corresponding text fields (not in the abstract text field).
- Acknowledgements or references are not allowed
- Tables: can be included in the abstract text. Please, notice that each Word or number included in the table will be count as one Word.
- One figure or graphic: may be included if it is uploaded as a separate file through the Submission form (upload file). Please, do not paste any image file in the abstract text since we cannot guarantee the reception of the file if you proceed this way.
- Authors need to choose their presentation preference (Oral or Poster presentation). In any case, the Scientific Committee will determine the final decision about the type of presentation after the reviewing process.

- Main Topic: Emerging and Re-Emerging Pathogens
- Secondary Topics: Immunity against infections (viral, bacterial, fungal), vaccination and therapies for infections, and immune disorders that increase susceptibility to infections
